Improve UV Protection Property of Single Jersey for Summer Protective Clothes

Abstract

This paper aims to improve UV protection property for single jersey fabrics. Three different machine gauge with two different materials and two different yarn counts were studied. In our research the gauge 28 showed the highest UV protection making it suitable for sun protective clothes. The gauge 20 gave the lowest UV protection .Fabrics with yarn count 24 gave better results than fabrics with yarn count 30.
